Category Description for Explorer's Bible Study:

I don't know if this series was designed with the homeschool in mind, but it is well suited for homeschool use. The program currently is available in four levels. Beginnings I is written for 2 - 5 year olds. Beginnings II is used for two years in grades 1 to 3 - Old Testament and New Testament. Discovery is used in grades 3 to 7, and Quest is used in grades 7 - 12. The program takes a spiral approach, meaning that the student will cover some of the same sections of the Bible multiple times during the program, studying the material in greater depth at the higher levels. The advantage for homeschoolers who have children at various ages is that the program covers approximately the same material at about the same point in the program at the two highest levels, so everyone from 3rd grade on up is studying the same section of the Bible. As a matter of fact, the

Want to teach my kids the history of the Bible. This was the best workbook resource I have found.

Good reviews. I was looking for something with Bible knowledge without denominational influence

I was looking for something more interactive than just a daily family devotional. This looked like it may work.

I used this series with my highschooler and we love it It requires real Bible study Each day he reads a Bible passage then answers questions which require thinking Some questions pertain to what he reads and others are thought provoking life-application There are memory verses that he must know each week as well Denomination is not taught here just strictly Bible I will order these for my younger ones this year also

I've looked at a lot of Bible programs for my 7th and 8th graders and MANY of them simply were not appropriate for students who have had Bible their whole lives - they just didn't TEACH anything Explorers has GREAT teaching notes along with questions that are not just regurgitation but require thought and decisions
