From the same author as the adult version with similar titles. Students begin by joining Molly and Max, partner detectives who help to solve the mysteries. First kids learn the skills needed for studying God’s Word - observation, interpretation, and application. Activities in the first week help the child to learn what kind of questions to ask. Each subsequent chapter tackles various week-long adventures, each highlighting a different passage, message, meaning or truth. After finishing the first guide (How to Study Your Bible for Kids) other study guides are available to focus on various topics or themes. Every adventure is packed with lots of questions, puzzles, & activities.

My kids liked the other Kay Arthur study we did.

The reviews convinced me that this may be a good addition to my 8-9 year old Bible studies. He loves to read the Bible on his own but may not understand everything or how to read it for greatest understanding about God.

This is a great series for young children. I went through this with my older children and now that my "babies" are 8 & 10 years old, it's their turn!

Seems like an in-depth study, something that will help my kids to really understand the Bible in context and apply concepts and principles to their lives.

Hopefully will be a life skill for my kids. Have enjoyed precept studies before with my kids and we wanted to study Ephesians this year, but there is not a specific study written by Kay Arthur. So we are hoping to do our own after completing this bible study!

I've gone thru Kay Arthur studies before on my own and wanted to expose my children to inductive Bible study.

I don't want my kids to just "know" the how the stories in the bible go. I want to give them the tools to study their bibles throughout their entire lives.

I went through this book with my son who is in fourth grade We loved it and learned a lot about how to read your bible and understand what you are reading by how you are reading it This is a great book to go through with your child for a daily bible lesson and it has wonderful workbook style pages in the book to fill out as you go

I am going through this book with my nine-year old daughter and have found it to be a treasure chest of tools for Bible study We take turns reading the text and I write in the answers she provides while we discuss what we are learning The Bible passages referred to in the text are printed in the back of the book where the child marks key words with colored pencils Some opportunities are also given for the child to illustrate biblical passages Memory work is encouraged It is written to appeal to the detective inside every child while maintaining a high standard of scholarship An older child would have no trouble working through the book independently The critical thinking skills that are gained while working through this book can also be applied to other areas of study We plan to continue with this series
