This is for my daughter's AP World History course in public high school. (It was not mentioned by the teacher; we are purchasing this on our own.) We hope that seeing the concepts here in different ways and described in different terms than her official classroom textbook will reinforce the lessons and provide a firmer grasp of the materials. The maps in her classroom textbook are quite small and black-and-white, so we can only assume this atlas will help to see and understand more clearly.
