Some children, even though motivated, full of phonics instruction, and diligent workers, just don't seem to "catch on" to spelling. What a coincidence, then, that she selected this

This is one of two spelling curricula that I purchased to teach my 5th and 7th grade homeschooled students that struggle in spelling. (The other curriculum choice was "Spelling Smart!"). I was seeking a program that would combine spelling rules with a systematic/analytical approach that was fun and engaging. The price was right and was worth a try.

It seemed to fit the needs of my child. I read decent reviews online.

Based on a review that said it was to help kids who are up to speed on reading and writing but lag behind in spelling.

Despite the fact that my child is a proficient reader, she is has a processing disorder and struggles heavily with spelling, I hope that this book will help me with direct instruction in spelling so that she can soon improve her writing abilities.

My daughter is Because it is a customized spelling level list for the student that is made from their own experience. It is not long lists of spelling words that have to be just memorized. It is supplemented with the rules of spelling to help with what needs further explaining.

My 9yr old son hates spelling due to mundane spelling lists and tests. When we read the introduction for this curriculum, his face lit up with a big smile! No spelling tests! No writing the same word over and over! He's edited his first paper this year and categorized his specific spelling issues into the workbook. Quick & easy! And it showed us both an issue he has with hearing 'er' where it should be 'ur'. It clicked! Great start! Hoping for our best year yet!
