I wanted a simple curriculum that incorporated reading, writing, and spelling all in one. The reviews that I read and watched about this program have all been good.

I have used LLATL for grades 1-5 and love it. I love how the grammar is based on a book or literature passage. It incorporates spelling, reading, writing, and grammar all in one curriculum.

Do I need to buy all the books separately or are they included?
Jennifer on Sep 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This item is the Teacher Edition. We do carry a package that includes both the Teacher Edition and the Student Edition as well as the literature books.

NEW TO LLATL
THIS IS OUR FIRST YEAR OF USING LLATL AND WE REALLY LIKE IT SO FAR. WHAT WE LIKE MOST ARE THE BOOK STUDIES. EVERY DAY WE DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT. WE HAVE ADDED ADDITIONAL SPELLING BUT IF YOU HAVE A NATURAL SPELLER YOU WOULDN'T NEED TO ADD ANYTHING ELSE. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE USING LLATL AGAIN NEXT YEAR.

Easy to navigate
My only complaint of the orange book is that it isn't broken down into days. I really like the structure of the Red books, and thought that they would all be designed as such. Otherwise, I really like the curriculum. It's pretty simple to use. My son is not in love with school at all. LLATL is actually enjoyable for him most days.
