Publisher's Description of COBI Panzer I Ausf. B - 654 pieces (World War II Historical Collection)

Panzerkampfwagen I (France 1940) tank model in 1:28 scale – a Blitzkrieg legend in your brick collection!

The French campaign of 1940 was one of Germany's most spectacular military successes during World War II. With this set, you have the opportunity to build a model of one of the heroes of those events and add it to your collection!

1940 – Blitzkrieg on the Western Front

In 1940, during the short German-French campaign, thanks to the Blitzkrieg strategy – lightning warfare – German troops broke through Allied defenses with unprecedented speed and precision. The key role German armored divisions played a key role, using massive tank attacks, air support, and modern radio communications to advance through the difficult-to-reach Ardennes and surprise the French armed forces. Among the tanks used in this campaign was the Panzerkampfwagen I, a light tank that, although no longer modern, still constituted a crucial element of German military doctrine.

Panzerkampfwagen I on the Stage of War!

The Panzer I was the first mass-produced German tank after World War I. Its design began in 1932, and the first units rolled off the production line in 1934. It quickly found its way to the battlefield, fighting in Spain during the Civil War, in the September Campaign in Poland, in France, as well as in North Africa and on the Eastern Front.

The tank was lightly armored and armed with only two machine guns, making it unsuitable for engagements with modern enemy tanks.

However, thanks to well-thought-out tactics, and thanks to its combat capabilities and effective cooperation with other units, the Panzer I was used effectively despite its limitations.

With this set, you can build one of the earliest German tanks of World War II – the Panzerkampfwagen I from the 1940 French campaign.

Advantages of the Panzerkampfwagen I (France 1940) set:

1:28 Scale – This scale set reproduces the tank with extraordinary accuracy. The model looks impressive, maintaining the authentic proportions and details of the vehicle from World War II.

654 Pieces – Each brick was designed to faithfully replicate the appearance and construction of a real tank from the 1940 campaign.

Movable Elements – The turret rotates 360°, and the gun barrels can be set at various angles – perfect for recreating dynamic battle scenes.

Realistic Tracks and Wheels – Rotating wheels and tracks ensure smooth movement of the model. The running gear faithfully replicates the original – thanks to this it makes the model suitable for both display and play.

Collector's plaque - The set includes a collector's plaque with the tank's name and scale.

Tankman figure - The set includes a figure of a German tankman in period uniform. He can be placed in the opening hatch or placed next to the tank in a diorama.

Durable prints, no stickers - All markings – historical and tactical – are printed directly onto the blocks. This makes them durable, aesthetically pleasing and abrasion-resistant.

Easy and enjoyable construction - Clear, step-by-step instructions make the set suitable for both beginner builders and advanced collectors.
