Memoria Press’s First Form Greek is a wonderful extension of their Language Series. They do recommend that students first complete First and Second Form Latin to have the best understanding of grammar concepts. If entering directly into Greek, it is recommended to complete the Greek Alphabet Book for exposure to the alphabet and diacritical marks, and it is expected that students will take a slower pace through the first few lessons as they learn concepts. Concepts mastered by the end of First Form Greek include:
- The six indicative active tenses of the omega verb
- Present tense of the to be verb
- Two noun declensions
- First & second declension adjectives
- Personal & demonstrative pronouns
- Approximately 130 Greek vocabulary words
Students will spend approximately 30-40 minutes per lesson, 5 days a week, and parents are equipped to be as involved as they desire in the course. There is an Errata Sheet provided for this course, updated by Memoria Press. ~Rebecca
