Description

This Generations 5th Grade Read Aloud Package includes the 4 supplementary readers that can be used with the God’s Big Story Level 5 Reading Program. These four readers introduce students to the biography genre and showcase missionaries spreading and sharing the Gospel in remote areas of the world. Also included is a Christian fiction option. These books are meant to be used as extra read-aloud options throughout your time in this level. Please note that Adventures of Missionary Heroism is written at a high school reading level. You may find your time in this specific read-aloud moving slower for comprehension reasons. A Literature Guide pdf is provided that helps you schedule and discuss these texts with your students. This Read Aloud package exposes students to good, godly, and around-the-world literature, helping them to be well-read students!  ~ Rebecca 

Category Description for God's Big Story Reading Grade 5

God’s Big Story Level 5 from Generations is a full-year (36-week) reading/Bible program that is a full-color, systematic, and user-friendly and speaks the Word of God into the hearts and minds of 4th-6th grade students. The target grade for this level is grade 5; however, accelerated 4th grade students or struggling 6th grade students will also feel right at home at this level. Lessons build upon the biblical stories read in previous levels and break the Bible down into its narrative parts: The Five Books of Moses, The Historical Books, The Gospels, Acts, and Revelation. There are three main components to the Generations Reading program:

  • Level 5 Text
  • Level 5 Student Workbook
  • Read Aloud Package

Speak, study, and explore the Word of God with your students all while fortifying their reading, vocabulary, and grammar skills. The combination of all three components has students engaging with the readings, strengthening comprehension skills, and developing writing skills. Time spent with the Read Aloud books introduces students to missionary biographies and Christian fiction reading and is a great guided time spent with you!  ~Rebecca
