Reading Fundamentals (Flashkids)
This FlashKids series, which is aligned to Common Core standards, helps students practice nonfiction reading comprehension skills. The large, full-color photos on each page and the "just-the-right-amount" of both reading and questions appeal. The reading selection length ranges from a few-sentences in a paragraph paired with a few reading comprehension questions (in grade 1) to a full page of text and a separate page of questions (at grade 6). Student activities include short answer, ordering, true/false, complete the sentence and more, and range from 4 questions per selection (in grade 1) to 12 (grade 6).
