Meaningful Mini-Lessons & Practice: Writing
In this series, mini lessons give targeted instruction in writing by breaking them down into manageable chunks in a structured format. The writing books teach students how to organize and practice different genres of writing such as argumentative, explanatory, and narrative. A variety of fiction and nonfiction texts are made available to teach students how to respond to one or multiple texts followed by prompts and graphic organizers that require a close reading of text and text-dependent responses. A grading rubric for each genre of writing is also included. If you are looking for a resource to teach standard-based writing, this series provides purposeful mini lessons and guided practice to build your student’s competency in these areas of language arts.
