Reading informational text is a necessary skill and this series does a great job of identifying, practicing, and strengthening the skills needed to do it effectively. Identifying and aligning to standards, the series covers basic reading skills (identifying main idea/supporting details, looking at sequence, and point of view) and provides experience with different types of informational text (historical, scientific, and technical).
