Starline Physical Education

Description

Starline Press has developed a 2-year course for physical education (PE), each consisting of 10 units that are aligned to California State Standards. This series is designed to equip students to make the transition from PE as a high school class to real-life physical activity. PE 1 is the introduction to personal fitness, extreme sports, character & sportsmanship, rhythms & dance, combat sports & safety, skill-related fitness, endurance/cardio/body composition/strength/flexibility, and sports for fitness. One unit for 9th grade is entirely dedicated to preparation for the California State Physical Fitness test. PE 2 is made up of ten units, each of which looks at fitness and exercise, types of sports, and heroes of sports. Each unit contains a physical education activity log in which you can document independent study physical activity, and can be used as a record of the minimum required hours for High School PE.
