Daily Life Series
Meet a fictional family and follow along for the day, learning all about aspects of their life and time. These books are well-illustrated, mostly with photographs of everyday objects from the era. After some background information about the period and an introduction to members of the family, a chapter or two describe the habitation, complete with cutaway diagrams and floor plans. Throughout the "day," interspersed chapters focus on food, clothing, entertainment, schooling, health and the like. A timetable at the end of each book helps put our "visit" in context. A very interesting tour.
