Penguin Historical Atlases
A historical atlas is something like an encyclopedia that is organized chronologically. These reference tools show how maps change over time with text, illustrations, and photographs (some in color). The text is brief and interesting. Cultural information adds humanity to the maps as you learn how people lived during each period. Each volume has loads of maps and pictures! Even if certain volumes don’t relate to your history program, these are a helpful resource for your home bookshelf!
