Building on the previously learned concepts, students add and subtract up to 1000, learn multiplication, division, fractions, and expand their understanding of graphs (picture, bar, line), measurements and geometry. Hands-on activities and unit projects are integral to mastery of the math concepts and are used in lieu of tests. At this level, more story problems are included, and most chapters conclude with a mixed review.
