Using puzzles and games to learn new vocabulary? Yes, please! Using words recommended by PSAT and SAT test prep, students guess a word by looking for clues in the text, then confirm their guess by solving a puzzle, cipher or word game. Each page is a new word! Teacher suggestions include hints, but students can do this on their own as well. Some activities would be more fun in a group, such as charades. You will fill in blanks and practice spelling the words right in the book. Reproducible for a single classroom/family.
