Mastering Skills Series
These books are a valuable resource for teaching key concepts in the early grade levels. Each book is divided into four main sections: language arts, math, social studies, and science. (The kindergarten level holds an additional "basic skills" section which covers topics such as matching, opposites, sequences, etc.) Within each subject section, a wide range of engaging activities covers skills and topics appropriate to that grade level. A grid at the beginning of the book correlates each activity page to one or more of the standards set forth by Mid-continent Research for Education and Learning. Worksheets are ideal for introducing a new concept, providing reinforcement activities, or assigning as homework for individual completion.
