Knucklestrutz is one of the most innovative products to make its way across my desk. There are two elements to Knucklestrutz pieces: connections and claw-like hooks. Some pieces have a couple of hooks and only one connection joint, while others have seven connection joints and no hooks. Put them together in a variety of ways: axles, elbows, multi-joints, and straight joints. The resulting possibilities are endless! In just a couple of minutes, I invented a snazzy-looking Tricycle Chair (maybe I should apply for a patent!). The pieces are able to rotate and move depending on how you connect them, so with a bit of imagination, I bet you could even make a working pedal bicycle, or perhaps a steam shovel with a bucket that opens and closes. These could be integrated into a geometry or physics lesson for tactile reinforcement of concepts. But most of all, building with Knucklestrutz is just fun!
