Description

A field trip to an art museum? Ugh. Noelle isn't excited about hopping on the school bus with Todd and the rest of the Third Grade Detectives in the class for this field trip. However, she didn't know a new mystery was about to ensue at the museum. This little mystery swept me right in! Like the other books in the series, the clue codes are written right in the text which I personally think draws the reader in even more. Plus, there is an activity at the end of the book to try at home! ~Judy

Publisher's Description of Mystery of the Stolen Statue (Third Grade Detectives)

The Third-Grade Detectives are looking forward to their field trip to a local art museum, where a priceless 15th-century statue of Joan of Arc is on loan from a Paris museum. But when they arrive, they discover that the statue has been stolen!

The police quickly find the statue—smashed into pieces and thrown in a dumpster. Why would someone steal the statue only to destroy it? It looks like a new case for the Third-Grade Detectives—even if the museum director doesn't seem to want their help.
