Use a brush, stamp, sponge or stencil to apply this paint to your project. If you are painting on a tee, use a piece of cardboard under the top layer to provide a smooth and firm surface. Apply 1 or 2 coats and let dry flat for 4 hours. Fabric can then be washed inside-out after 72 hours. If you want to paint free hand, this product will work better than the dimensional paint that stays on the surface of the fabric. This paint dries soft and will be comfortable to wear. Paint your way to picture perfect with Tulip® Soft® Fabric Paint! This highly opaque paint, developed exclusively for fabric, dries soft and flexible so it moves with your fabric items and won't crack or crumble.
Great for use on fabric of all colors, Soft Fabric Paints are permanent and machine washable so your creativity stays intact wash after wash. Colors are mixable and can be watered down to create watercolor effects.
How to use
All Soft Fabric Paints can be brushed, sponged, stenciled and stamped onto fabrics; pair them with other Tulip products like Dimensional Fabric Paints, Fashion Glitters and crystals for super personalized creativity!
- Prewash fabric before painting to remove sizing. Do not use fabric softener.
- Shake bottle well.
- Insert shirtboard or cardboard between layers of fabric.
- Apply one to two coats of paint, allowing to dry between coats.
- Dry flat 4 hours.
- For Velveteen finish only: With iron on steam setting, hold iron 1/2" above painted surface until paint appears textured (avoid over steaming).
- Wait 72 hours before washing. Wash in warm water, gentle cycle with mild soap; line dry. Clean up with soap and water. Do not dry clean.
