Description

This guide can be used by families who have older children working in the main level of Paths of Exploration and is specifically designed to include children ages 4-7 in daily instruction. These younger children can then take ownership in their learning while enabling families with children spanning kindergarten through middle school to use the program cohesively. During the older students' reading and review time, there are lessons set up in the junior guide giving you opportunity to complete phonics and reading with the younger children using Learning Language Arts Through Literature or another phonics program. There are also activities such as letter and sound memory cards, learning sign language, poetry, and letter formation for preschool age children designed to give your little ones' pre-reading skills. Divided into six units, this guide will take you through the entire school year. This manual is not a stand-alone curriculum; rather use it alongside the main level of Paths of Exploration. The required student notebook pages are sold separately. Complete instructions on how to use the manual are included. ~ Gina
