Layers of Learning Unit 4-18 starts with the history of civil rights around the world. We include types of rights, negative and positive rights, abolition, women's rights, voting rights, US civil rights movement, apartheid,Malala Yousafzai and education rights, plus more. Then in geography start a study of your own state. The explorations in this unit can be applied to any state. This unit focuses on history, symbols, and landmarks. In science learn about instincts including migration, hibernation, animal colors, and environmental stimuli. Last play with theater and film as you learn about the history of theater and film, do acting games, create a set, learn about acting jobs and parts of the stage, write a script, and act in your own play.
