Description

Each chapter of this softcover, full-color student text begins with a real-world situation of the new concept being presented. Although before new learning occurs, there are practice problems from previous learned topics. Answers are in the teacher guide. Assessments are sold separately. The number of lessons vary within each chapter (anywhere between 3-6). Lessons take 1-3 days to complete. Focusing on problem solving and student exploration, a problem is introduced to stimulate critical thinking skills. New concepts are introduced by linking previously learned topics to new topics through various examples and activities. Guided practice problems are interwoven throughout the lesson and the lesson ends with independent practice. Chapter review, assessment prep, and performance tasks are all included in the consumable text. STEAM projects involve activities for a small group or classroom but can be done individually.
