Thinking Tree Journals offer activities for all sorts
of learners and their abilities. This one is focused on those who struggle with
busy minds and clouded thinking. The goal is to provide opportunities to
practice calming strategies. Set the mood with a scent and lighting you find
soothing, maybe a cup of tea or glass of water. Some music.
It is suggested to use a black liner pen for the
best results. You are asked to finish a pattern or picture. Some pages include
number or letter games. The idea is that as you do each new activity, your
brain makes new connections. It doesn’t seem scientific, but more like simple
tasks to complete with lots of white space that helps you focus. I could see

The games were originally created to create new connections in the brains of dyslexic students. When you do a new activity your brain is forced to create new pathways. These activities will be unfamiliar to your brain at first.
