This lovely real silk piece measures 29” x 21” and shows an
image of an historical Lakota tribal scene. The image shows on both sides of
the sheer silk. A card with a QR code takes you to Lakota (Sioux) stories by Caroline
Stadnick, a teacher at the Lakota Waldorf School in South Dakota. She created
the original watercolor painting that inspired the silk version. What an
interesting way to study cultures who pass on their history through
storytelling. Encourage your learners to tell stories! Ask them to study the
figures and imagine a story to share. Now that is history made
memorable! ~Sara
