This is a deceptively simple book for introducing effective essay writing to students in middle school. The course is covering the writing process, but the entire focus centers around the idea that effective writing is about the message and what is being communicated. Through the simplicity of the coverage and central focus of the message, it seemingly de-mystifies the whole essay writing process. By doing so it makes writing seem not only doable, but something a student would want to do. This is an excellent little writing course to include as part of a middle school English credit. The set includes the book, learning guide, exams and exam answers.
