History
All cultures have their stories of spring. The Greeks famously tell of Persephone returning from the underworld to mark the coming of spring. In many northern cultures, the Flower Dragon is thought to be the harbinger of spring, and its appearance is celebrated with feasts and festivals.
Story
One dark, cold winter, a village in the Russian steppe feared that spring had passed them by. The lake remained frozen, the trees, leafless, the ground, frozen. Having heard legends of a Flower Dragon that brought spring, the villagers journeyed into the endless tracts of forest surrounding their homes.
Days later, a tired, hungry family from the village stumbled into a cave, where they awoke a still-sleeping Flower Dragon. Drowsy at first, the beautiful, kind creature realized she'd hibernated too long.
Flying from the cave, the Flower Dragon buzzed among the trees, buds popping from barren branches as it flew, while flowers sprung from the ground.
The villagers eventually returned home to find the air warmed and the land green, and the story of the Flower Dragon has been told ever since.

If you've seen many pictures of dragons, you probably know that everyone's perception is a little different. I think they are big reptiles that have 4 legs, claws, teeth, 2 wings, reptilian eyes, a long tail and spikes on their backs. Some dragons look quite different, though; there are dragons that look like roosters (cockatrices), ones that have human faces, ones that are a mixture of several different animals, and ones that leave you with a confused "What is THAT!?" Safari's version of the various mythical dragons is FANTASTIC. Any dragon lover would like to have a few of these creatures to take imaginary adventures with. There really is a dragon toy for everyone!
