Description

A video-based Bible class that uses films to teach on several parables in the Bible. The goal is to help today’s audience relate to the concept being taught in the parable. The six parables covered are: Hidden Treasure, Samaritan, The Shrewd Manager, The Widow & Judge, The Sower, Prodigal Son, and six bonus lessons on Cinematic Theology. There are twelve lessons, divided into two per parable. These two lessons are Understanding the Parable and Living the Parable. The Understanding the Parable lesson includes watching the film (about 15 minutes), going through a few questions, listening to some teaching on the original parable in the Bible, and then discussing the parable.

In Living the Parable, you will watch an application video, then discuss.

This course could be used as a Bible elective for a semester equaling ½ credit, a family devotion or unit study, or even a small group Bible study.

This course includes the video formats and digital copies of the leader’s guide and study guide, discussion questions, quizzes, and interactive resources. Once purchased, you will have lifetime access to these files. Uses the New International Version of the Bible. ~Amber
