I can’t believe I’m saying this about an Auto Upkeep Textbook, but… it’s AMAZING! Cars have never really been my thing, but after looking through this textbook – I was hooked! I couldn’t wait to read more and was understanding things that never made sense before with full-color photos, illustrations, and infographics on every single page. Each of the 22 chapters is beautifully organized with an introduction, objectives, trivia, color-coded sections of text, QR codes for videos, hands-on activities, career path ideas and weblinks. Chapter 1 features a colorful 4-page timeline from 1769 to the modern day, showing the history and progression of the automobile. Successive chapters explain how the different systems of the car work (electrical, lubrication, fuel, cooling, ignition, braking, exhaust, drivetrain, etc.), common problems and roadside emergencies, safety, tools & equipment, auto care & cleaning, fluid level checks, and much more! This high-quality hardcover book has 400 vibrant pages and a durable sewn binding. Lays a solid foundation, teaching practical skills and what every vehicle owner should know and be able to do!
