Category Description for Mad Libs

Mad Libs are collections of short stories, letters, songs, or articles with about 20 missing words on each page. These missing words are represented with blank spaces and each blank space has a part of speech indicated under it, such as a noun, verb, adjective, and more. One person acts as the narrator for the story and asks other people for words to add words to it. These words must match the parts of speech indicated under the blank spaces. The catch is that the players suggesting words have no idea what the story is, so their suggestions almost always result in hilarious and absurd nonsense! Yet, no matter what random or crazy word is suggested, it will at least make sense in the story grammatically. Good luck getting through reading without laughing so hard you can't speak! Mad Libs are so much fun that your children might not even realize that they're learning. Special Edition Mad Libs feature larger compilations.
