In Level 6, your child will meet key people from Europe that had an impact on God’s kingdom, from St. Patrick and Alfred the Great to Charles Spurgeon and Corrie Ten Boom. The first chapter gives a geographical overview of the continent of Europe then jumps into history starting with the Roman Republic. Anchored in biblical history, the narrative builds on the early church in Acts and follows God’s story throughout Europe. Learn how Constantine put an end to Christian persecution, the controversy surrounding John Wycliff, and John Newton’s fight to see slavery abolished.
This Level 6 book
is divided into 4 units. Before each unit begins, there is a two-page summary
and timeline of the 500-year period students are about to study. By studying
significant historical characters, your child also will learn the events they
lived through, including the reign of Charlemagne, the Bubonic Plague, and the
Reformation. The focus is on students
learning key historical events within the context of the Christian faith. Every
chapter is full of Bible verses and includes “Prayer Points” as a guide to pray
for various regions in Europe.
Shorter sentences and a lower reading level make the text easy to understand, as concepts are broken down into simpler ideas. Text is double-columned with full-color maps, illustrations, and labeled photographs to bring the narratives to life. Use with Taking Europe for Jesus Student Workbook. Glossary of key terms and people in back. All Scriptures are taken from the NKJV. 380 pages, softcover. ~Tara
