Description

Abeka Elementary Spanish Book B continues where level A left off. This is a Spanish anyone can teach! Colorfully printed pages require little writing from the student. This item is the student book. You will also need a Parent Edition, Vocabulary Cards, and teaching charts (if working with a group).

Level B reviews content from Level A. The course has a focus on learning enough vocabulary to get a student started with their Spanish journey. Grammar is not brought up just yet. Some pages will be cut apart to make a game or a craft activity.

Vocabulary themes include family, colors, numbers, animals, jobs, calendar, foods, clothing, & weather.

Spanish B is designed for all students, even if they have no previous familiarity with the Spanish language, and the teacher materials will equip teachers who have varying proficiency in the language. While worksheets are designed for Grade 1, these resources can be successfully used in additional grade levels.

Elementary - Activities introduce students to simple vocabulary through colorful pages. Students learn the words for family members, colors, animals, numbers, shapes and more. I noticed there is no pronunciation guidance with the Spanish words, though the English word is also shown. Kids will love the hands-on projects, like animal masks to cut out when learning vocabulary words such as elephant, hippo, and penguin. Handwriting is very minimal, as there is more circling, connecting lines, cut and paste, and coloring at this age group. A certificate of completion rounds out the course! Not reproducible. Consumable with perforated pages.

Necessary components include a Student Text, Parent Edition, Teaching Charts, and Vocabulary Cards.
