We were created to be in relationship with one another—even when it is difficult. Because we live in a fallen world, we see a lot of failures and brokenness. As Christians, we are encouraged and equipped to see the image of God in all things. People Positive provides space for students to reflect on God’s love and truth, challenging them to learn, grow, and connect, and allowing them to see the good work of God in everyone. The full-color, consumable student manual allows students to follow along with the teacher lectures through graphic organizers, encourages students to dig into the Word of God, and provides space for reflection and contemplation, along with carving out space for silent reflection and meditation. All the vocabulary words in each lesson are found in the Glossary at the back. Students will dive deep into Scripture and are free to use any Bible translation that they feel comfortable with. All instructional components (lectures, discussion questions, resources) are found in the Teacher’s Manual. 310 pgs., paperback. ~Rebecca

Description
We are a connected culture, and we were created to be in relationship with one another. However, relationships with people can also cause pain. Adapted from their youth ministry curriculum Love & Truth, Positive Action presents a homeschool study for senior high students designed to help them develop healthy, God-honoring, positive, and lasting connections with others. This is a yearlong Bible curriculum with a flexible weekly schedule (5-day, 4-day, or 3-day plan). There are six major areas of relationships that students will study:
- You and your God
- You and your family
- You and your friends
- You and the church
- You and your community
- You and the other sex
Each week includes a new memory verse, clearly stated learning objectives, vocabulary words, activities, reflections, and discussion. This study is dependent on parent/student interaction, but do not fret: you as parent and teacher are equipped with the Teacher’s Manual to guide you through this course. The lectures are fully scripted to facilitate learning and discussion. The Teacher’s Manual comes in a 3” binder (with dividers) with the scripted lectures, reduced student pages with suggested answers, additional discussion questions, reproducible quizzes and unit tests, and optional teaching resources.
Students will follow along with the content being discussed in their full-color Student Manual. These are consumable student workbooks where they will take notes during the lectures on pre-designed graphic organizers with memory verses, vocabulary words, student activities, and self-reflection areas. Each student will need their own copy of the student manual. This is a Bible curriculum that you and you students can enjoy together and use to build better and more meaningful relationships with those around you. ~Rebecca
