Description

Use this Fun-Schooling Workbook Level C to introduce your students to 30 classic short stories and novels from 1719-1912 such as Robinson Crusoe, Jane Eyre, The Pickwick Papers, Moonfleet, The Time Machine, and Kim. Uses 4 pages per work. The first introduces the genre, author (with brief biography), publication date, and a brief selection (length varies). With shorter selections, students choose two interesting/unfamiliar words to define and explore. The facing page contains well-executed black and white story illustrations. Then students will complete two pages about a book of their choice from the same author: naming and describing the main characters and copying two paragraphs. They will illustrate their copywork and explain what can be learned about the past from this book. Included at this workbook's end are a checklist of the works used, eight pages for sketching and drawing, six lined pages for notes, and pages to list books, films, and websites used in studying these novels. 143 pgs, pb. ~ Ruth
