Piece together your own P-51D Mustang with this 150-piece
COBI building block set! This COBI set contains all of the blocks needed to
construct the famous American fighter from the movie Top Gun: Maverick™
that saw intense military action in World War II and the Korean War.
The P-51D Mustang was first flown in 1940 and is considered
to be one of the best aircraft of WWII. It played an essential role in the war
by escorting bombers over Germany during raids and helping to establish air
superiority in Europe after D-Day. As an effective long-range fighter, the
Mustang was a worthy opponent to the Luftwaffe’s top fighters. The P-51D was
armed with six .50 caliber Browning machine guns, was highly maneuverable, and
could fly at a top speed of 437 miles per hour.
This 1:48 scale model is perfect for aircraft and military
enthusiasts ages 6+, bringing the P-51D Mustang to life in incredible detail!
Dimensions are 7.9” long, 9” wide, and 3.5” high. ~Alex
Publisher's Description of COBI Top Gun Maverick P51-D Mustang Fighter - 150 pieces
The
Mustang P-51D is a unique model of the movie aircraft released under
the original TOP GUN: Maverick™ license. The main character of the film
takes great pride in owning this very aircraft. The model was designed
with 150 COBI construction blocks in 1:48 scale and includes only
high-quality prints recreating the markings of the movie plane. The
licensed Mustang made of COBI bricks is not only a great movie toy, but
also a model that can start a collection among fans of action movies,
aviation and military technology!
The
North American P-51 Mustang was an American single-engine fighter of
the Second World War. It was produced at North American Aviation
facilities in the USA and successfully used by the US Air Force and its
allies during World War II and the Korean War. A very successful design
from 1940 meant that the aircraft was constantly produced until 1986!
During 46 years, approximately 16,000 Mustangs were produced. Today,
many of these machines are in private collections, just like in the
movie Top Gun: Maverick™. Mustangs are also still used in airshows and
sport competitions.
These aircraft sets replicate the aircraft featured in the Top Gun™ film. Each set includes one or more characters which match the theme and ranking of the vehicle.
