Description

Piece together your own Cromwell Mk. IV with this 544-piece COBI building block set! Part of COBI’s World War II Historical Collection, this set contains the blocks needed to construct the famous British medium tank.

The Cromwell was produced by the British in the late stages of the war and was the first British vehicle to feature a combination of high speeds, a reliable engine, and good armor. It first saw combat during the Battle of Normandy in June 1944 and was used by the Allies as they closed in on Berlin. The 28-ton Cromwell was fitted with a 57mm main gun and was protected by 64mm of frontal armor.

This 1:35 scale model features a rotating turret, working tracks, and hatches that open to reveal the tank’s inner components. A tank commander minifigure, General Stanisław Maczek, also comes with the set. Perfect for tank and military enthusiasts ages 8+, this set brings the Cromwell Mk. IV to life in incredible detail! The WWII Cromwell Mk. IV tank "HELA" featuring the exact markings of the famous command tank of general Stanisław Maczek from the 1st Armored Division (Black Devils) of the Polish Armed Forces fighting alongside the Allies. Carefully reproduced from 544 bricks, the set was developed in a 1:35 scale matching our figures. All elements of historical markings and details are high-quality prints! There are no stickers in the set. The tank's functionalities include: an opening hatch, access to the engine, a movable turret, a rotating cannon and a working tracks. There is also a plate with the name of the famous tank.

The set includes a very carefully designed exclusive figure. General Stanisław Maczek (1892-1994) was an early supporter of Polish armored weapons, a hero of World War II, an outstanding commander of the 1st Polish Armored Division of the Polish Army, which became famous during the fights at Falaise during the invasion of the Allied forces in Normandy in 1944 and in the liberation of the Dutch Breda. He was also awarded the Knight of the Order of the White Eagle and was an honorary citizen of the Netherlands.
