Description

Light up the night sky in one of eight different cities by creating a display of shapes and colors, which match objective cards that earn points at the end of the game. Whoever has the most points in the grand finale wins!

Each player receives a two-sided player board of a different color (red, yellow, blue or green), which also matches one of four different firework display shapes. There are 16 two-sided tokens for each player, which have different shapes and match player board colors (yellow star, red triangle, green x and blue circle). Sort the tokens by shape/color, stack the tokens, flip them to their fireworks side, and place them to the left of each player board.  Note that when tokens are sorted by color on one side the fireworks side of the stack contains a variety of all displays in all 4 colors.  Finally, players receive one starting goal card, which has the requirements to earn 7 points and is placed to the left of player boards.

Players earn points in the following ways:

  1. Goal cards and crowd-pleaser objective tiles: In the center of the table are four evenly divided stacks of goal cards and four crowd-pleaser tile objectives. All objectives provide a score for completing it and are shown as a configuration of shapes and fireworks that must appear on a player’s board to earn the points. On their turn, a player can choose a token from their stack or from their neighbor's stack to the right and place it on their board, and they can choose an objective card and put it to the left of their board.
  2. Tiles can be stacked on top of each other and some objective card patterns may require two stacked tiles in specific patterns to earn points. When an objective card is completed during a turn, it is placed to the right of a player’s board, signifying its successful finish.  When any of the crowd-pleaser tile objectives are complete, they are placed above the player’s board.
  3. For the following two scoring criteria, score points based on how many tiles are underneath the visible tile. If there is only one tile in the stack, one point is earned. Award an additional point for each tile underneath it. (1) Matching color tiles: Score points for visible tiles in a player’s color. (2) Firework display shapes: Each player board shows a firework symbol type at its top right that awards points at the end of the game. Players receive points for visible tiles matching that symbol in any color.

The game ends when any player finishes their 6th objective card (not including crowd-pleasers) or when one stack of firework tiles runs out. Whoever has the most points wins! For 2-4 players with a 20-minute playtime. This is a family-friendly game with color- and shape-matching practice, goal planning, and completion skills.
