Category Description for 180 Days Of Spelling & Word Study

Build mastery of spelling skills with daily practice! Students will appreciate the variety of exercises. The addition of vocabulary is a logical bonus since the two areas often overlap. Earlier levels work on getting students familiar with common spelling patterns and rules. Later, they learn synonyms, antonyms and multiple meanings of words. Parents will find this series easy to use at home with brief instructions and helpful reminders that get right to the point. Word banks help students fill in the blanks, and serve as reinforcement (seeing the list over and over). Analogies challenge students to think critically. Teachers will appreciate the extras like unit assessments, whole class/small group support, differentiated instruction for the lessons, and standards correlations. Units are about 6 pages, with approximately 12 words a unit, and 36 units total. Pages are black/white and seem uncluttered, with a few cute illustrations here and there. Reproducible for classroom/home use only. Answer key in the back. ~Sara
