Have used these for my kids from 2nd grade through 6th. They have provided a solid foundation in grammar and they have transitioned to more advanced programs easily.

Something for kids to work on when I am busy and seems to be self learning.
Kathryn R on Feb 22, 2017
Needing a more complete approach to grammar...been using Easy peasy.
Jennifer L on Feb 2, 2017
Now that my 7th grader is in public school he is asking for his 5th grade workbook as reference. I was good at english in school and know all rules up to 6th grade and so found this whole series EASY to use and correct. Type Size nice and big and the white space in the books makes the lessons/pages less intimidating to the student. Have less than 10 questions after a lesson helped 3 or my 4 children get through them.

I've used Easy Grammar for years! It is an excellent way to learn grammar with minimal planning for the parents.
Kathryn D on Sep 5, 2016
Wanted to ease of using a workbook instead of continually printing out the worksheets. The workbook seems more economical than buying ink and paper and the time saved is important right now.

I chose to purchase this product because it is on Bright Ideas Press Illuminations year 2 curriculum list. Rainbow Resource Center was recommended to purchase from. The prices were great and I love the free shipping on orders over $50.
Heather T on Aug 9, 2016
I like how they start with prepositions, and teach that subjects, verbs etc. will not be found in prepositional phrases. The exercise are short and do not require lots of writing or contain unnecessary busy work.
Janet S on Aug 3, 2016
Quite honestly, this is an excellent Grammar series! I have used it for Grades 2-6. I just needed more student books for my 3rd grader.

I chose Easy Grammar because we used grade 2 last year.
Nicholas C on Jul 27, 2016
Easy Grammar is so easy to use, and my kids who are right brain learners have been successful with this. I just highlight the page for my daugther, so she understands what she has to do. It has helped my children tremendously in grammar.
Melissa L on Jun 30, 2016
I needed an open and go approach to grammar this year.

Easy Grammar is just what it says -- easy! We have homeschooled for 3 years, and have used other grammar curriculum that has been boring and/or really overwhelming. Easy Grammar is a one page a day style workbook, and my children (ages 9 and 12) understand it and do it willingly. They are learning grammar well with this program!

Recommended to me by a Rainbow Resource staff person at a homeschool convention.

As I'm moving away from complete curriculum, I'm needing a way to teach and reinforce grammar that also teaches some independence in the learning environment. I've heard great things about Easy Grammar.

because I do not understand the curriculum I have now. How can you teach something you do not understand ? Things are not in black and white anymore. Hope this is better.

I am hoping this program will be more simple and straightforward than what we are currently using. The workbook will save me time by not needing to make copies from the teacher's edition.

Can I start teaching the series in the 3rd grade book for my 3rd grader or do I need to start at the beginning? How essential is the teacher book?

BEST ANSWER: You do not need to start with earlier versions of Easy Grammar in my opinion. The concepts are repetitive each year, along with getting more difficult as well. I do buy the TM each year, however since this is elementary, you could choose to function without it and purchase it later if needed. The TM has all the student pages too, so technically you could purchase that only if you wanted to photocopy the pages for your child as you go along through the school year. It really depends on your comfort level of grammar and your budget.
How many lessons are there?
A shopper on Feb 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This curric is not divided into clear lesson breaks (as in "Lesson 1, Lesson 2" etc). Having used this curric at many different levels, I have found that some lessons might be only two pages, while some lessons are four pages. My kids know to count on 3-5 pages per lesson (I mark where to start and where to stop each day). If you count on four pages a day, there are about 55 lessons. Once you become familiar with the curric, it is clear to see where to start and stop (for example, in the VERBS section, you might have 3 pages about Action Verbs, five pages about Helping Verbs, etc. - all pages are clearly marked in the upper right or left corner as per subject). Hope that helps
