Description

Set up your woodworking shop and get ready to fill orders from customers with the varied and beautiful wood crafted products that you will soon create! In this beautifully themed game, there are various ways to accomplish your goals and score points. The main actions in this game center around an action wheel with seven tiles that each provide different ways to build, produce goods, hire workers and obtain work orders.

Three different colors of dice represent different types of lumber of varying values. Improving your workshop gives you options to add pots to plant trees, saw blades to split dice values, splicing tools to change existing lumber values and a gluing tile to piece two different values together for a larger one.

There are a few different ways to obtain lumber to fill orders. 1.) It may be purchased from the lumber yard on the main board 2.) It can be grown from a tree that is placed in one of three different colors of pots which grow in value between turns or 3.) Lumber can be sold to the bank in order to exchange it for the highest value of another type of lumber.

Blueberries are the currency of this game, and it can be earned in several ways. When you fill a product order, blueberries are usually one of the rewards as well as other tools and bonuses. There will be three income phases during the game in which points and income are generated and tools are refreshed for use. The game ends at the conclusion of round 14 and its income phase. After this, game-end points are calculated and the person with the most points wins!

This is a heavy, strategic game which more experienced board game players will find interesting and engaging and with developing strategies the more times it is played. For 1-4 players with an 80 to 120-minute game time. This is a new game in 2022 and easily one of my favorites! ~Marsha
