Description
Elizabeth Ann lives a sheltered life under the care of her over-protective Aunt Frances. She is well cared for, but she has become fearful of everything, self-absorbed, and a hypochondriac (all by the age of 9!). Her sweet aunt, of course, meant her no harm. She was the first to offer to take care of her when her parents passed away, if only to save the dear child from living with the dreadful Putney cousins in Vermont.
