These bears have been surprisingly versatile I expected to only use them when Saxon Math actually called for them but they have proven to be much more useful Sometimes a lesson will want action figures and I just use these They work perfectly for 'stand-ins' when we are trying to visualize things they keep the two-year-old busy sorting into cups they are small enough to use right on the lesson without taking up the whole table but large enough to manipulate (my daughter bites her nails and has trouble picking up the colored disks which lay flat on the table) Definitely worth the money to get the bigger set since once they are spread on the table everyone wants to use them! Plus the occasional casualty to the dog isn't that crucial last red bear that you need for the lesson

I used these when homeschooling my own 3 children, and now I've bought them for my godson and his sister as they begin homeschooling. I continue to use our set during piano lessons.
