Description

"Please," "thank you," and "excuse me" are timeless necessities. It may feel like it takes 8,000 reminders before a kiddo remembers them on their own, but an interactive resource like this one can reinforce these daily life lessons in a fun way. Each coloring page demonstrates manners such as asking politely to borrow something, smiling and thanking someone for a gift, finding something positive to say, or apologizing when you make a mistake, and holds a sentence teaching the manner at the bottom: "When making a phone call, first introduce yourself, and then ask if you may speak to the person you are calling for." I love that there is a page on removing hats when indoors (a pet peeve of my own!) and holding open doors for others (another one of my sticklers!) This little book made me think about what my parents taught me - I still have a hard time addressing someone of my parents' age by their first names! The earlier the better to make these important life lessons really stick! 46pp, pb ~ Sara
