Description

Open up this very kid-friendly introduction to characters from Greek, Roman, Norse and Egyptian mythology. The illustrations are simple and quirky (not scary) and the language is a hoot! Each section is written in the "voice of the particular god or goddess, each one getting a page or two. The book also clearly states who is connected to whom and how so, something I always found hard to remember about mythology. This is meant to be read by the student first hand and although officially designated for middle-schoolers, I think a 3rd or 4th grader could read it just fine. A glossary in the back will help with vocabulary words and there is a small folded poster in the back. If you have the other Basher books, you will definitely want this one for your reading collection. 7" x 7, 128 pp, sc. ~ Sara
