I have found Horizons math to be thorough and enjoyable Lessons are colorful and include several different exercises for example a single lesson may cover time money addition multiplication and word problems This keeps each function fresh in the student's mind The only problem I've found is that each set is about a year ahead of my child's level so in 4th grade she's using level 3 etc Also additional practice in multiplication has been necessary Overall it's the best program I've found thus far

to aid me in teaching my son's horizons 3 workbook. I like how the workbook is laid out...colorful....fairly simple, introduces new concept, then reviews previous concept. We aren't too far into the workbook yet, but it doesn't seem too overwhelming, but also seems to cover what he needs to learn.

Is the spiral bound version of this teacher's guide an older edition?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, it is. Horizons changed from a spiral binding on their teacher's to a "perfect" (i.e. paperback) binding a few year ago. The binding was the only thing that changed at that time.
