Category Description for Brain Quest Revised Edition

These workbooks are designed to supplement your child’s understanding in all content areas by reinforcing the basics and previewing future learning. These are not textbooks, but rather true workbooks, and are best used to reinforce curricular concepts learned at school. Each book is aligned with national and state learning standards. This would be great for reviewing the grade level your student came out of or for preparing for the grade level they will be going into. The workbooks encourage critical thinking and practical application of knowledge. They come with mini smart cards, fun stickers, a progress map, and award certificate. Pages are perforated and color-coded by subject with an opening page for the parents and another note for the kids. “Brain Box” sections offer explanations of key concepts on each page. Secular publisher and workbook may include evolutionary science, and occasional references to “they” as a singular pronoun. This includes the Brain Box notation that “some people prefer that people refer to them using they/them/theirs instead of he/him/his or she/her/hers” in the 6th grade book.  See sample pages for more information. Answer key is found in the back of the workbook. There are additional activities found on the Brain Quest website. ~Amber/Deanne
