I have found Horizons math to be thorough and enjoyable Lessons are colorful and include several different exercises for example a single lesson may cover time money addition multiplication and word problems This keeps each function fresh in the student's mind The only problem I've found is that each set is about a year ahead of my child's level so in 4th grade she's using level 3 etc Also additional practice in multiplication has been necessary Overall it's the best program I've found thus far

We have been pleased with Horizons after a year-long search for the right math program.

I chose this because my daughter is very particular about math. Pages in color are weirdly important to her, as is a spiral method so she doesn't get bogged down on one topic. This curriculum does both those things-woohoo!

I have used these books with my previous children. I love the spiral approach and they are a little more advanced then some curriculum but really build a solid foundation in math.

This math program works great for my kids.

Very clear format, user-friendly approach for my 4th grade boy

This math curriculum has served our family well for over 8 years now. The new concepts are introduced easily, old concepts are reviewed regularly, and the color graphics and real-life applications make it more appealing to students. The lessons make it easy to break up the weeks and my boys have been able to be self-directing (for the most part) by the 5th grade. Additionally, I find this curriculum to be comparable to more expensive Christian curriculum that I have seen.

My upcoming fourth grader thought his brother's new Horizons math looked nice with the colors."

Concepts are reviewed continuously throughout the text.

After having tried different math programs, we used Horizons Math 3 and loved it. Horizons is colorful and very visually appealing. There is a lot of variety to keep things interesting. I think it is a good blend of the extra thinking required of Singapore and the drills/extra practice you get with Saxon. I find it the happy medium.
