This is a series of six 64-page books for students in kindergarten to grade 5. All grade-level math skills are covered, and a culminating reflection question for each performance task engages students in the standards of mathematical practice. Current state standards and depth of understanding are emphasized throughout the series.

Short and sweet practice applying math skills to everyday problems in the real world. Lesson begin with a skill review then ask the student to apply this skill to solve a real-life word problem. Then, in an extension of that type of problem, the student is asked to offer explanations for their reasoning. Skills covered are aligned to Common Core Standards. While not attempting to replace curricula, this is a good option for applying math skills.
