U.S. Geography Through Literature Intermediate Teacher Guide Grades 4-6
Following a Charlotte Mason approach, this lovely guide gives young students a gentle introduction to geography. Using many different story books as the main source of learning material, discussion and narration is a focus as students use a simple composition notebook to record their writings. Lots of hands-on projects and suggested field trips are available to pick and choose to fit your family’s schedule. Written to the parent, the first six lessons teach basic directions and map skills. Then lessons are divided into four main sections representing different parts of the country. By lesson seven, there is a clear pattern to follow each week of reading, mapping, coloring, and a suggested activity. Recipes, video links, and Bible memory work are also integrated into the lessons. The activities correlate with downloadable printables you can access through a QR code located in the front of the guide. Pick and choose the activities you desire to explore with your children and have fun discovering the incredible geography of the United States! ~ Gina
