These are a fantastic manipulative for teaching multiplication and division. I use them for games, for concrete examples and as the geometric model of multiplication--the array. I think this is the best resource for demonstrating the commutative property and distributive property of multiplication.

We work a lot with numbers in math and we tend to overlook the power of making patterns and using them to reason, the tiles are an attractive and indispensable tool to set the balance between numerical and patterning right
